SAFETY POLICY

Students of varied experience levels, ages, and backgrounds work side-by-side, exchanging ideas and techniques. Generally, Workshops are open to students 18 years old or older, at all skill levels unless indicated otherwise in the course description. Workshops are small, generally 4-6 students of varying experience and age but with a common goal of working hard, learning new skills and being creative.

Students should be aware that in many workshops they may be working with tools and equipment which, if improperly or carelessly used, can cause injury. All workshops will include a safety review to inform students about proper use of tools and equipment in the studio. By registering for a workshop, students assume the risk of working with the tools, equipment, and materials provided by Arkansas Craft School, and neither the instructor, the School nor its employees will be responsible for injuries received by students as a result of the improper or careless use of those tools and equipment.

Because our insurance policy only covers students and their instructors within the time structure of the contracted course; non-students (children, spouses, friends, etc) will not be allowed to participate in class activities or use tools and materials of the Arkansas Craft School.

I have read, and understand the Arkansas Craft School Safety Policy.
